Our Business Project.

For this project, our group had to come up with a profitable product that we were able to sell to a target audience.

As enthusiastic art students we decided to come up with the idea of an artists pot that kept paints dry within airtight tubs therefore reducing paint waste. Our idea was based around the shape of a water bottle, about 6 inches of height with a cylinder shape. The screw top lid could be removed and turned over to create a water pot, along side our four magnetic drawers that reveal the airtight pots, each drawer having three removable magnetic pots where the paint would be stored. An extra feature we decided to include was a brush storage space, just behind the magnetic drawers where the artist can store up to 10 paint brushes of a height up to 6 inches.

I created the logo, keeping it simplistic with a simple blue block colour paint splat, and bold writing overlaid “Painter’s POT”. In terms of marketing, we decided our main marketing focal point would be social media and the main art shops around Belfast.
